We feel so fortunate to have had our wedding ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey – the Abbey is beautiful and historic and such a special place. Organising the wedding while based in Australia was a little bit daunting but the entire team at Ballintubber made the process so seamless and enjoyable. We felt so supported the whole way through and we can’t thank you enough. From talking us through the formal requirements, providing templates for our wedding booklets and helping us find other wedding suppliers, the team at the Abbey were always there for us and so generous with their time.
The Abbey itself is beautifully presented and the grounds made the most incredible backdrop for our wedding photos. We were so grateful to the team at the Abbey for walking us through the site and the grounds in the lead up to the day and their tips for the best spots for photos. Our experience was so positive from the first email to wrapping up on the day. We couldn’t recommend the Abbey more highly for a wedding ceremony.

To all of the staff who work at the Abbey, I just wanted to finally say a HUGE thank you for all of your continued support with the lead up to and on our wedding day!
After having to cancel it twice due to covid, we finally got married on Thursday 11th August last year. We cannot thank you all enough for helping us with the paper work and keeping us on track every step of the way. Your help was much appreciated on the day as well as it all began to feel somewhat overwhelming by the time the day actually arrived.
The Abbey will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will continue to visit year after year to remind ourselves of the magical day we all had. Plus, the weather! It was a stunner!

We got married on the 25th of September, 2021, and started planning earlier that year which some might consider relatively short notice! Teresa made the whole booking experience extremely straightforward and seamless, with everything sorted in just a few short emails and phone calls, despite our planning taking place remotely as we currently live in the UK. The Abbey looked absolutely stunning on the day itself and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful a wedding venue it was. We had Coda, a local male singing group, performing at the ceremony and the acoustics of the Abbey made it such an unforgettable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ballintubber Abbey as a wedding venue to anyone looking for a unique and fabulous setting.

We live in London and due to covid we were unable to visit in person and the team really helped us with the process and talked us through the requirements.

We had our wedding there in Dec 2019. From start to finish the organisation of the wedding ran so smoothly. The organisers couldn’t have been more organised and were very efficient in ensuring that everything was in place. We got married at Christmas and were fortunate enough to have the festive decorations in the church as part of our wedding. This only further enhanced our own decorations and gave the ceremony the ultimate magical feel.
I cannot recommend the venue and organisers enough.
Ballintubber Abbey is a magical place to get married, steeped in history and the perfect venue to start your own adventures, like we have.
